Expanding Community Garden at Humphrey Calder
This project will expand the existing community garden at Humphrey Calder, allowing for more garden plots, increased access to fresh produce, and additional space for community engagement.

PB Staff met with Community Gardens in the Department of Parks and Recreation to help define and discuss the scope of the selected project.
09/04/2025PB Staff met with the Community Gardens Coordinator to discuss the project scope and identify next steps for expanding the Humphrey Calder Community Garden.
While adding new plots is not yet possible due to required site upgrades, plans to repair fencing, install a new rain collection system, and complete other improvements were discussed. These upgrades will pave the way for future garden expansion once preliminary work is complete. Moving forward, meetings with community Garden Stewards and members will follow for further input and design.
