Upgrade Bus Stops with Seating & Shelters

This project will build sheltered bus stops at highly trafficked locations that experience high heat vulnerability, providing protection from the elements and improving rider comfort. Particularly in the following areas: 25th & Q Stop #91/ Mosby + Fairmount Stop #1830 / Nine Mile + 27th Stop #1862

    PB Staff met with GRTC to help define and discuss the scope of the selected project.

    PB Staff met with GRTC representatives to discuss selected bus stop projects and scope a timeline for implementation. PB Staff reviewed project descriptions and locations to align expectations. Following the meeting staff will participate in upcoming ETI meetings for further review and discussion.

    PB Staff met with GRTC representatives to review selected bus stop projects and discuss implementation timelines. Bus stop upgrades will proceed in two phases—Spring 2026 and Fall 2026, with each stop assigned to a phase based on review outcomes. Next step is the City will introduce an ordinance to transfer funds from the City budget to GRTC to support project implementation.
