Improve Pedestrian Crossings at Brookland Park Blvd
This project will install high-visibility road striping and crosswalk art murals at the intersections of Edgewood Ave, Garland Ave, and Griffin Ave to improve pedestrian safety and create a visually engaging streetscape.

PB Staff met with Traffic Operations in the Department of Public Works to help define and discuss the scope of the selected project.
10/07/2025DPW is currently carrying out the selected project at all locations, including Edgewood Avenue, Garland Avenue, and Griffin Avenue.
Once work is finalized, DPW will reconnect with PB Staff to discuss incorporating murals and potentially involving the Public Arts Commission in the design process.
